Lubin
Lubin - Just after the French Revolution, Pierre-Francois Lubin founded Perfume House. Bron, in a period thought to be the most eventful in France. An apprenctice to the famous perfumer Montpellier Jean-Louis Fargeon, in 1784 Lubin began working closely with Marie Antoinette and Empress Josephine, wife to Napoleon I.
Renowned as the 'holder of the secrets of beauty of the old court of France' and thanks to his illustrious patronage, Lubin became the favoured perfumer of many European Courts. In 1821, he became the appointed supplier of the King of England George IV, and in 1823 that of the great Tsar or Russia, Alexander I. As the first perfumer to conquer the New World in 1830, Lubin's fragrances would soon be famous the world over. The legacy continues.Â
