The King of Herbs.

Basil is a member of the mint family. Originating in India, more than 160 varieties of the plant exist around the world, ranging from green to purple in colour. Most of the varieties used in cooking impart a distinctly green, anisic flavour.

Scent Profile: Lively, peppery, spicy green note with fresh facets, which can be attributed to the presence of linalool, eugenol and methyleugenol.
