Hedione
An aroma compound first synthesised in the 1960s by a chemist seeking to reproduce the intoxicating fragrance of blooming jasmine. First applied to modern perfumery in 1966 by the legendary Edmond Roudnitska for Christian Dior's classic Eau Sauvage. See also: Aqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani and cK One by Calvin Klein.
