Lavender
This flowering plant belongs to the mint family and is native to the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean.
The English word 'lavender' probably comes from the the Latin 'lavare' meaning 'to wash', referring to the Roman Empire, where lavender oils were used for bathing.
Scent Profile: Powdery, herbal, soft, earthy, mystical, languorous and a touch cold and starchy.
