Nutmeg

Myristica Fragrans.

Nutmeg is the fruit of the plant myristica fragrans. Nutmeg essential can be extracted from the dried seeds via steam distillation. 

Scent Profile: Spicy, sweet with an earthy, pungent dry down. Most commonly used to add an oriental spiciness that is subtler than the usual cinnamon/clove/vanilla notes.
