Tea

Black, white and green

White tea refers to one of several styles of tea which generally feature young or minimally processed leaves of the Camellia sinesis plant. It is from the same plant that black tea derives from. Black tea is more oxidised than green or white teas.

Green tea is a variety of tea made from Camellia sinesis leaves that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process as black and white teas.

Scent Profile: No actual tea oil exists. Instead, perfumers develop tea accords. Thus, the scent of tea leaves can vary greatly, depending on the fragrance. It can be green or bergamot-heavy; milky and aromatic.

Found In: L'Artisan Parfumeur's, Tea For Two EDT (2000).
