Clary Sage

Salvia Sclerea.

A perennial herb native to the northern Mediterranean. The herb has been used medicinally for centuries, though it is currently grown exclusively for its essential oil, used variously as a muscatel flavouring for vermouth, liqueurs and wine, and in perfumery.
