Ginger
The whole ginger plant has a scent but mostly the roots (rhizomes) and flowers are used to produce fragrant products via distillation or extraction.
Ginger essential oil is used in perfumery to add spice and depth to Oriental spice blends. It's also valuable for incense or gourmand fragrances and a tiny bit adds depth to florals.
Scent Profile: When fresh ginger is distilled it keeps a light, lemony and fresh zesty quality. In fragrance, it can be warm, sharp, spicy, fizzy and refreshing.
