Calone

A synthetic note composed to recreate breezy, aqueous and melon aromas in perfume. Very popular in the oceanic fragrances that defined the 1990s: Aqua di Gio, Cool Water and L'eau d'Issey. 

Scent Profile: Can be overtly melon-like, ranging from cantaloupe to honeydew; can also project as sweet and slightly salty, throwing gooseberry, grapefruit, kiwi and mango nuances. 

Made Famous In: Giorgio Armani, Acqua di Gio (1996).
