Guaiac Wood

Palo Santo. 

Guaiac wood is one the most resilient woods on earth. It's oil, however, is extracted via steam distillation from the bark and shavings of the palo santo tree. 

Scent Profile: Depending on the composition, it can be smokey and leathery, woodsy and citrus or vanillic and balsamic.
