The Noble Citrus. 

Bergamot essential oil is a cold-pressed oil produced by cells inside the rind of the bergamot orange fruit. It is one of the most widely-used top notes in perfume, especially in fougere/aromatic scents. 

Scent Profile: Sweetly fresh and citrus. Can be tart and bitter or more elegant and light, with aromatic nuances of earl grey tea. 

Made Famous In: Jo Malone, Oud & Bergamot Cologne Intense (2010). 

Did You Know..? 

Bergamot essential oil is a major component of the original eau de cologne created by Farina at the turn of the 18th century. The finest quality bergamot oranges are found in Calabria, Italy.
