Freesia
It wasn't until 1985 that Freesia was officially used in an aroma composition. Thanks to Headspace technology, which isolated the scent compounds surrounding the flower as opposed to using the plant to extract an essence. The result was a classic of the clean/white flower genre: Antonia's Flowers, who at the time was the florist to go to in East Hampton.
Scent Profile: Clean, freshly cut flowers; can be spicy and powdery.
Found In: Antonia's Flowers, Antonia's Flowers EDP (1985).
