Patchouli
Earthy mint.
An exotic bush found typically in India, related to mint. There are only a few patchouli distilleries able to produce the highly refined extract used in haute parfumerie. For that reason, there are synthetic and natural patchoulis found across modern perfume.
Patchouli forms the elementary component of a whole genre of perfume: the chypre or mossy wood.
Scent Profile: Herbaceous with earthy, minty, woody and green facets.
Found In: Frederic Malle, Monsieur EDP (2015).
