Sandalwood

Sacred wood. 

Obtained from the genus of trees called Santalum. Steam distillation of the powdered wood (soaked in water for 48 hours) provides the sought-after oil used predominantly in woody oriental fragrances. 

Scent Profile: Has a balsamic, rich, sweet aroma with delicate, sometimes milky and creamy, facets. Can display green nuances.
